Privacy
Bennch is a workspace for building software with Claude Code. This page explains what we keep about you, why, and what you can do about it. If anything is unclear, email hello@bennch.co.uk.
What we keep
- Waitlist: your email address and, if you tell us, what you build with now.
- Your account: your email, your password stored only as a one-way hash, your authenticator app secret if you turn it on, and recovery codes stored only as hashes.
- Sign-ins: which browser and device you’re signed in on, and when each session was last used, so you can see and end them.
- Your projects: what you and Claude Code put into Bennch: cards, decisions, test journeys and results, and what Claude reports about commits and tests. Bennch never stores your source code; it stays wherever you keep it, on your computer or a service such as GitHub or GitLab.
- Usage counts: for example when you signed in or when a card was accepted, so we can see whether Bennch is working for people. We look at counts and dates, not the content of your projects.
Why we keep it
To run the service you asked for (our contract with you), to keep it secure, and to improve it (our legitimate interest). We use your email to send invites, password resets and important service messages. We don’t sell your data or use it for advertising.
Who helps us run Bennch
- Render hosts the app, its database and this website, in the EU.
- Resend sends our emails.
Your AI coding tool, such as Claude Code, runs under your own account with its provider. What you send to Claude is covered by Anthropic’s terms, not ours.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. When you delete your account in Bennch, you can no longer sign in, your sessions end and your projects are taken out of the service. To have everything erased completely, email us and we’ll do it within 30 days. Waitlist entries are deleted on request.
Your rights
You can see, download (Account → Download my data), correct or delete your data, and object to how we use it. Email hello@bennch.co.uk for anything you can’t do in the app. If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Cookies
The app uses one cookie to keep you signed in. It isn’t used for tracking. This website sets no cookies.
